Maxpedition Cocoon Pouch

The MAXPEDITION Cocoon Pouch is a cylinder-shaped utility pouch that is perfect for flashlights and other long items. Reminiscent of a butterfly chrysalis, this durable low-profile carry case was designed for objects too long to fit in other Maxpedition waistpacks or pockets. With an overall capacity of 8 inches and a full-length opening zipper with paracord pull, the Cocoon Pouch will accommodate all your favorite oversized items, including big fat permanent black markers, writing utensils, titanium spork/chopsticks, and even a toiletry kit with your toothbrush and shave kit. This elongated pocket also makes for a great flashlight or folding knife storage pouch.

The Cocoon Pouch features loops throughout for tie-downs, key rings, Slik Clips, or detachable 1" quick release buckles, and is also ALICE/MOLLE compatible using one (1) 3" TacTie Attachment Strap (sold separately). Measuring 8" x 2", the pouch is constructed with 1000-Denier water and abrasion-resistant lightweight ballistic nylon fabric, with a triple coat of polyurethane for water resistance and a final coat of DuPont Teflon Fabric Protector to repel the elements. The use of only the best components and designs is a hallmark of Maxpedition's craftsmanship.

Unlike some competitors who use generic zippers with YKK slides, Maxpedition exclusively uses complete YKK zippers and slides. Military-grade nylon webbing is incorporated for straps, handles, and modular attachment points, while genuine Duraflex buckles and hardware add strength and functionality. Starting with large, unseamed panels of 1000 Denier Nylon, Maxpedition meticulously reinforces each stress point with composite thread, ensuring there are no unnecessary seams or polyester parts used.
